OUR PHILOSOPHY

We focus on teaching the performing arts as historic art forms, rather than as sport or competition. Both dance and acting have a rich history that we incorporate into our daily lessons that help to add to the overall education of our students. We hope that our students take the history of these art forms and transform the future in a positive way.

We use a well-structured and age appropriate syllabus for all techniques that takes into consideration both our students' physical and mental development, and ensures the best results in their performing arts education. We also recognize the need for versatility in today’s students who are aspiring professionals or who simply enjoy our fun classes. We are dedicated to providing our students an excellent performing arts education, and strive to inspire a well-rounded student.

We attract a professional faculty of teaching artists who have either a degree or certification in their field. Our instructors are encouraged to continue their education and certification in many styles because it is an asset to our students as well as the instructors themselves. Providing an education of the highest quality to each and every student is our paramount.

Her choreographic works have been presented in various student concerts including “homeBase” in the H’Doubler Concert in April 2019 as well as “align/ed” and “She for Her” in the Kloepper Concert in December 2019. She supplements her performances and education with teaching for area studios and organizations since 2012.

Brielle McCarthney

Brielle McCarthney originally from Saylorsburg, PA, began her dance training at the age of 16. She danced for two years at Pennsylvania Youth Ballet before joining their pre-professional division. She then decided to further advance her training by attending Princeton Dance and Theatre Studios in Princeton, NJ, where she studied under the direction of Risa Gary Kaplowitz and trained through the ABT National Training Curriculum. She also studied many other styles of dance including modern, jazz, flamenco, and also took Pilates. Brielle is now dancing with Magnum Opus Ballet here in Madison, WI and also teaches at Studio Dansu.
